Consciousness-Based Education™
The non-sectarian programs used at our school and founded by Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi, have been implemented for over 40 years in schools and universities
worldwide, for students of all educational backgrounds, religions, and
cultures. Consciousness-Based Education programs make use of the Transcendental
Meditation™ technique, practiced for a few minutes twice daily.
This naturally and effortlessly settles the mind to its most silent and
wakeful state, Transcendental Consciousness. This silent field is the
full potential of one’s intelligence, the unified field of natural
law. At the same time the body gains profound rest, eliminating accumulated
stress and fatigue.
Consciousness-Based Education provides both experience and understanding
of the unified field of natural law as the common basis of objective and
subjective knowledge. Through understanding and regularly experiencing
this field, students feel increasingly at home with different areas of
study, appreciating the connections between the disciplines and themselves
as their creative potential blossoms. As a result, learning becomes increasingly
relevant, integrated, and fulfilling.
More than 600 scientific research studies, conducted at over 200 universities
and research institutes in 30 countries, establish the benefits of the
Transcendental Meditation technique as developing mental abilities and
greater use of brain potential, improving health and health habits, reducing
antisocial behavior, and creating a harmonious school environment.
