USA Over the past decade the first Maharishi school in the world, Maharishi School, Fairfield, Iowa, saw students winning more than seventy state, national and international titles in such diverse areas as science, speech, drama, writing, poetry, spelling, art, photography, history, mathematics, chess, Destination ImagiNation, tennis, golf, and track. In addition, they have demonstrated their desire to help others in society, for example by founding the student organization End School Violence Now and the Students Creating Peace Network

UK This Maharishi School, located in Lathom, close to Skelmersdale in Lancashire, was founded in 1986 and includes a primary school (reception to year 6), and a secondary school (year 7 to year 11). 
|Great emphasis is placed on the importance of external verification of academic performance. In six out of the last seven years (to 2002) that this school entered pupils for GCSE exams, figures from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) show that 100% of pupils gained 5 or more passes at grade C or above.
In 2002 the average pupil point score was 62.4 ranking the school 12th out of about 4,400 secondary schools in the UK, and top in Lancashire.
Since the Maharishi School started entering pupils for GCSE examinations in 1990, 85.2% of examinations have been at Grade C or higher. This is a remarkable achievement, given that the School does not select pupils on the basis of academic ability.
