Our approach is inspired by Consciousness-Based Education, which integrates the development of inner potential with academic excellence. Through practices of meditation, specifically Transcendental Meditation, students experience greater clarity, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.

In the final week of Term 3, Maharishi School celebrated Peace Week; a beautiful time dedicated to exploring the meaning of peace, experiencing it in daily routines, and learning how each of us can contribute to a more harmonious world.
On Thursday 21st August, Maharishi Primary School welcomed Mark Bunn – former AFL player, professional keynote speaker, health activist, and best-selling author of Ancient Wisdom for Modern Health.
As the lighthouse of alternative education in Reservoir, the Maharishi School students learn through the guiding principles of the Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI)—universal truths that help them understand themselves, their learning, and their place in the world. One such principle, Purification Leads to Progress, reminds us that growth often begins with letting go, so that clarity, learning, and transformation can take root.
We at the Maharishi School, weave the principles of the Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI) into our everyday learning. These simple yet profound truths help children make sense of the world around them — and of themselves.
At Maharishi Primary School Reservoir, we believe that a better education goes far beyond the classroom. It’s about creating well-rounded individuals who are confident, curious, and connected — and that’s why camps and extracurricular activities play such an important role in our school experience.
At Maharishi School, we believe that Mathematics is not just about numbers — it’s about thinking, exploring, and discovering patterns in the world around us. In following the Victorian Curriculum, our approach to teaching Maths is designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and help every child develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
